A Personal Mission Rooted in Love

My name is Shelly McConnell. I'm the founder of TruAura Home Care and a Registered Nurse with more than 13 years of clinical experience at one of Connecticut's leading hospitals.

My dedication to home care is personal. I was raised by my grandparents, and when my grandfather suffered a stroke that led to memory loss, I became one of his primary caregivers. He had spent his life building a home for our family, and it was important to us that he stay in that home — surrounded by the people and familiar things he loved.

That experience is why I started TruAura Home Care. I saw firsthand what a difference it makes when someone receives care in their own home, from people who treat them like family.
